This is pretty frickin sweet. I think it will be quite interesting to see the reactions when the rest of Team RWBY sees Ruby's Guarlion.
The only thing I feel I should point out that can be improved on is that I think you should put a little more details into some of the battles. Mainly conversations that show the new dynamics and banter that Team RWBY are experiencing with their new allies.

Rai and Weiss personality crash is to be expected.
I also half expect Ruby to get her own Valsione that somehow can be power up by her semblanc.
Like how Ryuune can activate after image by pure skill, Ruby probably can do that too if she got Valsione.

Nice chapter. The rushed plot shove-in is replaced by well-thought out character interaction, and it is becoming much clearer that Ruby is suppose to be representing a 3rd route: DC Route, as she have recieve the most character development and interaction yet. Nice idea to give the bad guys with a good cause some development.

it's either you bring the Huckenbien Mk-II's up and running and use the Game-verse plotline or wait till OG2 for the Exbine for the anime-verse plotline...
then 2nd OG game-verse let the huckenbiens to get blown to bits, and avoid some raging lawyers, so the Asch, which is later THE EX-Exbine be introduced...

THough this is just my musing, but I think Dr. Zoldark may think of Ruby similar to his own Daughter.
So I think Ruby may be getting a machine like Rynne/Lune.
I think Ruby bay be getting a Valsione of her own, with Mech size Crescent Rose :o

... Am I reading this right...? Ruby is possibly getting her own version of a Masou Kishin, possibly rivalling the Cybuster in terms of pure speed? (BTW, your call on the Masou Kishin. I don't even remember if there was a term for the "regular" ones...)
Poor Weiss, having to deal with Excellen... I'm somewhat hoping there will be a slight fencing/swordsmanship exhibition between Weiss and Sanger (Idunno how to do that special character on a keyboard, so, yeah...)

I really want to guess what suit will each of them will use later. But this is still in OG1 which didn't have much suit to choose so I figure most of them will just use Gespent.
I already imagined Ruby ride the MK-II S and 'Shout Now!' though.

If excellen ever manage to get weiss into a bunny girl outfit...
It's either Eis go tsun-tsun or Will act out Hinata and blush like crazy and/or fainting right after.
Cue after the final battle with the Balmar in OG1 plotline, Excellen, Yang, Lefina and Weiss are in the bunny girl outfit.
Cue massive casualties via bloodloss.
And looks like Weiss is about to be drafted into the ATX team... Which means by the time OG2 plotline comes... Signu-er... Lamia Loveless will be more confused then her canon self...
When we will be seeing that Kusuha health drink pwning anyone?

Excellent story so far, but I wonder when (or if) a certain Real Robot series that has featured in every damn SRW/SRT game will make an appearance, may god or dust or whomever help team RWBY if they face off against some of the most powerful war machines and skilled mecha pilots mankind has ever produced.

Ruby? Sighting the Cybuster? I'll bet she would want to race it with her Semblance to its limits.
And good thing you mentioned the piledriver, because there's only one red mech that I know that has that - the PTX-003C, Alt Eisen (its successor, the PTX-003C-SP1, Alt Eisen Riese, got the PROTOTYPE for the Revolving Stake - the Revolving Bunker, which we all know threw the Alt's balance so way off it needed Tesla Drives just to be able to stand). Otherwise, I would have thought that the DC had made something up for Ruby.
Is Weiss' Gespy an MKII Kai, or the plain MKII variant? Oh, and was that the Grungust Type-3, or the DGG-XAM1 Dygenguar?
Oh boy, now I'm fired up for the confrontation between the different factions, and our huntresses.
