Really good start I am looking forward to the next chapter.
Don’t really get the relation with them seeing the color red and their mucus membranes.
I would not think too hard about that, it is always difficult to understand the biology of the Yautja (Predators) because we think from a human point of view. Maybe for aliens it is different.
But it gives writers the amazing opportunity to be creative with writing so thumps up and keep it up.

Survival stories are the best - I look forward to where you'll go with this!
Also, I understand your confusion regarding their mucus membrane/inner mouth pinkness. I've given up over thinking it, since apparently the creators weren't bothered to… And the vision issue is always up to creative license. I have yet to encounter a story that didn't modify that feature in some way.
Anyway, keep it up! :)
