I've read your three other most recent stories, but never one as you were updating, so I'm super excited to follow this one as it progresses. You're one of my favorite writers on this site, who knows exactly when to place a certain word to have the most impactful effect. Nothing feels rushed or forced, and that is something I love to read.

Now, I'm super intrigued with Anna. That was, of course, a near de Chagny slip up in her married name. Interested to see how that one plays out. Also, I think she's a great character to play off Erik, as she doesn't seem to understand her direction in life. Erik is the perfect catalyst in figuring out who you are and who you will be. I'm certain you'll do it justice.

Erik's mother appears a sort that I haven't seen before, in that her regard for Erik is simply nonexistent instead of the horror that is usually shown, with a begrudging, growing concern. She simply sees him as the monster that everybody has made him to be . I like it and can't wait to see how her circumstances change.

And finally, I love kid!Erik. He is still sorely neglected, without the cynical approach that he gets later in life, but still highly detached from the world, thanks to his mother. He's still curious, as see by his fascination with the swan. Also, I love the little hints at his deformity and I'm super excited to see where you are taking this, especially Erik's character.
