This was such a great story! It was interesting to see what could have happened if Odin had given the throne to Loki... he could have actually ruled it well! And I loved that ending with Frigga!

I adore this story!
I wish this was cannon.

This is such a great fix-it. Finally, Loki admitted that Frigga was his mother. I just love that they all reconciled, or at least, everyone except Thor reconciled with Loki. Thor will probably have a better time of it now that Loki's not trying to provoke him into killing him.

I love the part about Loki making bets with Heimdall, and lol, I can't believe that he made bets with Heimdall over whether or not he got to try to kill Thor, and whether or not he got to make bets with Heimdall at all. I also appreciate that this fic made me imagine Loki and Jarvis having a conversation about memory foam. Such a hilariously mundane conversation between an alien conqueror and an AI. I...really want to know what else they talked about, now. Ikea?

This is absolute perfection. And, it's the first fanfic/theory I've encountered that says Loki might NOT have gained the throne through less-than-honest means! ;) Wonderful!

I really love that first line.

"Damn it, boy, stop thinking of ways to kill me and ANSWER me." Best line EVER. lol. I laughed so hard.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this fic, the conversation between Loki and Odin. Had some crack aspects to it that I found really funny. Loved the speed and the sass of BOTH their comments. They were both a little out of character...I guess? But it was perfect for what you were doing.

And I'm glad it ended like it did ;) Yay, happy endings.

Memory foam was a great touch. Very funny.

I love this.

Just so you know, I've accepted this as cannon. This is it, this happened. This was actually a deleted scene, and tomorrow I'll see an interview of Hiddleston explaining what his direction was for this scene. Because it's real life.
How, how, HOW ARE YOU SO FREAKIN' PERFECT? LIKE, HOW DO YOU DO THIS? IS THERE A CLASS I CAN TAKE TO BE AS AMAZING AS YOU ARE? DID YOU MAKE A WISH TO SOME MAGICAL BEING FOR THE POWER TO WRITE SO WELL? DID YOU ACCIDENTALLY STUMBLE ACROSS SOME POSSESSION OF LEO TOLSTOY AND IS THAT FUELING YOUR CREATIVITY? I CAN'T EVEN PUT SENTENCES TOGETHER, AND YOU'RE OVER HERE SLAYING.
Sorry, sorry. Your writing always strikes some part of my heart that I didn't even know existed. Makes me a bit emotional.
I mean, not only was it so easy for me to believe that this could happen, it was funny and provocative and heartbreaking and it just felt really right.
You've kinda ruined me. Whenever other people write Loki I can't help but think, "no... no something's missing..." and now I realize that it's YOU, YOU are missing. Do you get paid for this? You should get paid for this.
'Cause somehow you manage to make Loki an asshole, and a prankster, and a god of chaos while also making him lovable and complicated and broken, and (as a third layer of complexity in this superbowl-party-bean-dip of fiction) he's still fun.
I can't express to you how much I love this story. I love everything you post, obviously, but I just watched TDW the other day and when Odin said "Loki"... I was watching it so closely, I leaned in and everything, trying to take in all the details and analyze it and figure it out (because it's all so... vague, you know?). My friends probably thought I was insane with my face almost right up against the glass but I was trying to work through what I'd fill in for the blanks they leave... and I had nothing.
Then I read this, and BOOM.
As another thing: I usually hate Odin, but somehow I... I don't know, I didn't fall in love with him but something like respect for that character happened. I appreciated him. My emotions weren't entirely negative, so props to you for turning my heart around in that respect. Even though you were probably the writer to prompt me mentally labeling him as a bag of dicks in the first place.
Still. You rock.
I can no longer conceive of a MCU wherein this story did not actually happen, and you're the best, and this was amazing, and I'm not gonna gush on anymore but please know that I COULD GUSH ON FOR DAYS.

Beautifully done.

Love it!

Hahaha, poor Loki! A bit difficult to understand in some parts, but I got it. Well done! I love trickster!Loki. And his bets with Heimdall! XD

Great fix-it story! I love your style of writing. Clever and completely immersive. I love your Loki. You keep him in character (the good, the bad and the ugly). He does shitty things (so many dead virgins...lol), but he was doing a "good" job...just doing it his way. Odin was great in here. Kinder than MCU Odin, but clever as I would expect Odin to be. He is a trickster himself. Takes one to know one. Odin seemed out of character in Dark World to me. Anyway, great story. I hope you return to writing soon. I miss your work.
