Writer's block or not, another great chapter. Jehan, while he may be a pest, is too funny, especially what he did to poor Frollo during his hangover (and it too was funny seeing Frollo, is all his sternness and general scariness, being hung over too lol). Either way, keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what happens next.
P.S. As for story direction, I would suggest another time skip and showing another event that makes up Frollo's personality, maybe even have a Hellfire-type scene that Jehan interrupts and proceeds to tell all of Paris about.

lmao! Brotherly drinking, man was that funny. I once heard wine leaves people really messy when they're drunk. Most people turn into angry drunks when drinking wine from what I've personally seen and heard. I loved this update and honestly your last chapter wasn't half bad, i wouldn't worry about it too much. I loved the drinking and riding reference, that had me cracking up. Romulus is by far the stateliest name I have ever heard for a horse and that had my laughing so hard. It's good to hear from you and read such an awesome update for Halloween! I'm hoping to submit mine on or before then, I feel you on that writers block, at this point I'm hoping to send out monthly updates. Gives me enough leg room hahah! Now he's going to have a headache plus a lot of trouble! Hope he can deal with them ;) Btw it's nice to see Jahen being an encouraging brother to Claude like this some time. Great chapter! Also, I used to read this fun African story about a man who took the form of a beggar, an old woman, and, in some versions, a mouse and some other forms, and, at last, became a snake, before revealing himself as a handsome prince who married the kind girl. :) It was a fave when I was little.

I was so excited to get the notification that you updated! I liked how you brought Esme and Clopin as children and still held true to their characters. I'm struggling with writers block and balancing my major classes and job so I understand. You have great diction by the way, you capture his brutality and conflicting emotions so well! Again great chapter, even if you hated it.

I read all you have of this so far and it's definitely very awesome so far! I love how it goes more into Frollo as a character and what happened during that 20-year gap. I can't wait to see what happens, not to mention why we don't see Jehan in the film (I have a feeling something will happen to him) and what familiar faces we will see in the next chapter. Either way, keep up the good work and I can't wait for what's next:)
