I feel that far too many fanfic writers forget that Harry was forced to underperform by the Dursleys because they didn't want him doing better in school than the baby whale known as Dudley. Nice that you're letting him shine now that's broken free of the mold he had been forced into by the old meddling coot.

I think you mistakenly had Hermione there when Harry arrived and her return letter stated she wouldn't be back until a week later because she's on vacation with her parents. I think it was in the previous chapter too.
