Looking forward to this Naruto new path. I have an idea who he might be paired off to in the long run but hey you never know. It’s your story, still the potential. Man if Ebisu teaching was supposed to be something along these lines.

Chakra aversion makes sense. I personally have had another reason efficency.
I have personally viewed the leaf exercise as the enrty level and one of the final exercises (two different runs, with there being dozens of actual exercises for various usages and chakra levels). With the first run, it is about generating any amount percent of elemental chakra to get a result. I also compare the leaf sticking exercise to the amount of chakra minimum to pull off the exercise. you could take 100 times the minimum amount of chakra with 1% efficency or use the exact samenamount of chakra at the theoretical 100% efficency. It takes time and Chakra to make attempts, especially early on when you are not efficient. It also takes time to create elemental chakra. With an affinity, I think you get benefits to percentile efficency and speed of conversion.
As you scale up in chakra usage, the percentile loss really makes a difference. The time to convert chakra over does as well. It is likely why we only see chakra flow with elemental affinities in the source material.
