Well written. I'm looking forward to the "How Ranma ended up in bed with Anko after a night of binge drinking" explanation. But as I've watched the Ranma 1/2 series I understand how excessively strange his life can be. I think Ranma's innate preference for short haired dangerous women who specialize in making and using poisons explains itself, don't you?

First chapter and there's already two fandom misconceptions. Never a good start.

First fandom-contrived error, It's Kyuubi no Yoko, not Kyuubi no Kitsune. Kurama was referred to as the "Nine tails demon fox* in English, which translates to Kyuubi no Yoko in Japanese.

Second fandom-contrived error, Naruto was not physically attacked or bullied by the civilians. That includes being cornered and oppressed. Psychological abuse is what they subjected him to throughout his adolescence, which is arguably much worse than physical abuse anyway.

And lastly, which is less of a fandom-contrived error and is more of a casual misconception in general, is that there are actually TVs in the Narutoverse. Shocking, ain't it? I know. If you look back at the Chunin Exam arc you'll see times where the superiors use CCTV cameras to monitor the applicants' progress. I think that's reason enough that there is some form of captured entertainment in the Narutoverse. You can also find Kakashi staring up in comical happiness at a billboard advertising a filmed Icha-Icha Paradise novel in one of the fillers to further cement this.

Even with those misconceptions overlooked, the out-there plot really nails the fic in the coffin for me personally. I'm fine with Ranma-chan fics, I absolutely love her, but it was really jarring to find her waking up from doing the yuri with Anko after leaving Naruto under Teuchi's watchful eye. We didn't even get any indication as to what could've sealed her curse before you bedded them together in a downright cringeworthy fashion. I'll fully admit I might just be me being biased because I do have a preference for straight!girl Ranma fics, but throwing her in bed with another woman under the weak justification of "she's a man in a girl body" and "she's a masculine tomboy" just ruins the intrigue of finding out why Ranma's been locked, with that scene being so wacky and lighthearted... at least for me.

I also feel it kinda waters down Anko's character. It's starting to get irksome that people always intrepret her character as lesbian. It wasn't so bad before but the more overused it gets the more annoying it becomes. I guess since she's never shown a sexual preference for either gender she's ambiguous, but I dunno, i would prefer it if she was left alone. She doesn't even make for an interesting character other than being like Naruto, Orochimaru's student and a love interest; each of which have been explored hundred times over now, I'm sure. They're already been a few Ranma/Anko fics, so another one and done so cheesily at that wasn't really welcomed.

I dunno, if you had established her character beforehand then this would've been easier to shallow

Oh well. I probably could've continued to read this in despite of Ranma-chan's casual fling with Anko, (even know it wasn't shown. Screw you, jk) because hey, a little girl on girl action is nice if I'm in the right mood, but the fandom cliches are too distracting and weren't needed. They've gotten so overused I often end up rolling my eyes and dropping a fic on the spot when I see one included
