I have to say, when you started the original story, you had some great ideas.
Now. Hoobouy, now you have some great ideas, and the skill to convey them.

Okay! Before I forget! The first part of the chapter was great. You did the timeskips very well.
The second part, holy crud. That's terrifying.

Woah, okay, I'm starting to see how a do-over could be a good thing.
I have to say, this chapter was kinda deep. The repeated "Who am I?" Got a bit old, but aside from those. Wow! The mood! Ahm really feelin' it!

I have been waiting patiently for this chapter to finish, and it was worth it! (On a side note, would you believe me if my family did Christmas the same way? :)) so this has been a little intense, but I don't mind. Now we get into the Pokemon world. What happens neeeeeeext? Whhhooooooooooo! (That was my terrible ghost impression.) wanna hear my custom maniacal laugh? "Maniacal laaaaaaaugh. Maniacal laaaaaaaaaugh. Maniacal laaaaaaaaaaaugh!"

I'm intrigued to see where you'll take this rewrite, I can already see the differences from the main story and I'm liking it, can't wait for more.

So the family is not abusive to him in this one? That's a little better in my opinion. The only thing I can see to make this even more original is if one or more of the family came with him to the pokemon world! And, yes I have read the other two stories you have on here I really want to see some more of the prologue to the prologue of this, in other words the games prologue. I myself find it very odd how none of the mystery dungeon characters have a real back story they just get told what they were like before all this not who they actually were, I mean sure in the explorers of darkness/time/sky they established you were the partner too grovyle, but I seriously doubt your character was born into that world, so there is no actual information on what your character was doing before he met the others in the games. Enough of my rambling, keep up the good work, I'll be earnestly waiting for the next chapter of this! :)
