AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IT ISSSSSSSSSS A CLIFF-HANGER! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. AHHHHHH. sarah noooooooo sarahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. shooooooooooooot. this is awesome. the suspense is great. how are they going to manage it?! how do they come out on top of this one?! everyone is so cornered! what is the solution?! i have no idea but i am nervous and excited to find out. love this story. can't wait for the next chapter!
Also, major props for the Father Lantom scene in this chapter—I think it was my favorite piece. You did a wonderful job of channeling his wisdom. When reading good writing, it's easy to forget that this content was actually thought up and written by an author, instead of just being poured onto the pages by the characters themselves. I admire how you were able to break down the conflict and miscommunication that Sarah and Matt have been struggling through so eloquently. I felt just like Matt in that moment, when all of it clicked into place after having felt so chaotic and unfixable. Great work!

Wow, I can't believe I read this but I'm so glad I did. I'm not even a Daredevil fan, I've never read any other Daredevil stories, nor seen the show or movies but somehow, I got pulled into this which just proves how amazing and well written it is. Kudos, author!

This was absolutely fantastic! I love how intimidating Fisk's character is in the show and I think you captured that perfectly in that final scene! And Matt's reaction. I do hate that it's a cliff hanger but will eagerly await the next chapter while going back and rereading the entire fic just to keep getting more of the characters until you update! Thank you for such fantastic work! I love it and aspire to create something half as amazing as this! :)

Ok i had to take a long time to process this, because there’s so much going on here that deserves to be applauded. Sarah asking not to be pulled back and forth, the discussion about loving how you like to be loved, Matt appearing for her mediation, just so good. Somehow, those of us that love drama know that the “meet me at home” is going to go as wrong as a career cop on his last day before retirement. When they took that wrong turn to thr airport… i think i stopped breathing. Matt telling her he trusted her to say what she had to, to STAY ALIVE. Love. Pure love, the best “i am coming for you, so stay alive until then.” And it reads as “i love you.” Masterclass.

I am shooketh. Phenomenal chapter. I stopped breathing as I read the last bit leading up to the cliff hanger. I could feel it. I could hear it. I could see it as real as if it was displaying on tv. I wish they hired you for the reboot as a writer. Great job. So happy to have been able to stay around all these years. I reread it again. And I was thinking. I hope this story never taken down i dont know what I’d do. I read it at least once a year. lol

I don't know if I can coherently write my thoughts because you have made me AN EMOTIONAL MESS ASHEVILLAIN!
You always update this story in the middle of the night for me and I spend all day at work anxiously waiting to get home and read knowing I'm going to be getting hit in the feels.
You are a master of angst, demonstrated seamlessly throughout this entire story. However, this entire chapter is a fucking masterclass in it. I felt every emotion Sarah went through, fully. Reading with bloody tears in my eyes. I wanted to reach through my laptop and shake Matt - get your act together and just tell her you love her and you're sorry goddamnit! xD
When you teased the cliffhanger I thought for sure it's ending in a showdown with Jason but you break out the bigwig and, I say it every time, but I don't know how you're going to pull this off and tie it together. God, I trust in your genius so much.
I feel I am becoming repetitive in saying how thankful I am for your story and grateful you've continued writing over the years. I think last chapter I maybe reminisced on the milestones I've achieved in life since I started following this story in at the end of 2015. I can remember where I was and what I was doing in correlation with certain chapter updates. So when I reread I get a nostalgia kick in that regard to.
I really do feel a connection to this story more than any other fanfiction, and Daredevil is not a fandom I even really venture in to!
Funnily enough, I was chatting about the new reboot the other day with a friend. We were talking about what we expect it be like now MCU has it's hands on it fully and what may be brought over from the netflix show. I started mentioning plot points and my friend was like 'huh, that never happened', though I swore up and down it did. It was only later I realised I was treating this story as canon and talking about things you had written out. Your writing and worldbuilding is that good.
It's gonna be a sticky and bittersweet last few chapters but hell yeah I'm here for the ride.
