Well that escalated quickly. And look at Shinji! Picking fights with strong willed, superiority-complex wielding girls. He's starting to grow up :) I'm so excited to see his IS in action. I have no idea what kinds of things Tabane would have added as extra, but I'm sure they're impressive. Shinji having side characters as romantic interests should be a lot of fun to. They kind of neglect a lot of them in the light novels, so I'm excited to see what you do with them. Thanks for another great chapter :D

Sorry that reviews for this one were slow coming from me. I read the story on my phone first, and I don't like reviewing via phone, so I wanted to do it from my computer. I'm rereading it now and reviewing as I go! Yay! I like the start for this one. Shinji has had some time to mellow out and stabilize a bit, so he's not quite such a nut case. And I'm very happy that it was Tabane who found him. She can be quite entertaining (as seen in this story) and I think she's a good one to help Shinji loosen up a bit and become a bit more "normal", even though she isn't. She also has the power to smooth his way in to the world. Him going to the Academy is sure to be exciting, and I'm hopeful that his presence will help Ichika be a little less dense and see what's going on around him. Great chapter, keep up the excellent work :D

Cecilia... beaten to the ground... heavily injured... a psychotic iron seraph slowly approach her...

Well now!
This is quite fascinating and I am very intrigued to see how this will play out.
I mean Shinji, for all his skill is more used to fighting in a multi-storey juggernaut and less a man-sized IS. I can definitely see him over-compensating for a few things.
That being said, the neural interface from the Evangelion would actually serve him well here as he never had to move as a multi-storey monster and instead just...himself.
I can definitely see this getting brutal and a bit more of the true Berserker coming through. A little bit more of the madness and wrath that allowed him to so effortlessly command Unit 01.

eh I was hoping Tabane would be paired with Shinji. he is basically the combined memories of humanity plus his own? also didn't the pilots stay the same age no matter how much time passed? plus I never really saw a pairing for Tabane and I do not know who she could be paired with.

-_- an older woman... again...so you gave fixation on older woman? I just find it strange. Specially if his already have trauma that would break abnormal person.
One would expect him to have more time with someone his age and someone who is "normal" and chifuyu is not exactly normal.
War veterans usually live their vacation in relax environment to settle their minds from continues battle and you would expect that as the best medicine for shinji. The school isn't really the best place for him if he is still having nightmares.
Those type tended special care.
My other problem about this fix, aside from pairing. Is shin I is comparing to much of IS world to Eva world. Its vastly different that he should stop. Its not funny at all.
IS world is a peaceful world and not in the brink of apocalypse like Eva world. Its just annoying to read it again and again. Try to reduced it or avoid it.
Its fine if its painful experience but his been keep on comparison g individual people that has different personality, and that what's irritated me.

-_- you compare Cecilia to asuka? That's ridiculous! 1-2 dimension character of IS won't be able to be compare to how complex the characters from Eva! I can't even see Cecilia being anything near Asuka!
