This is a very meaningful piece of writing for me, since one of my best friends has some sort of suicidal thoughts since her father and brother died.
I think that this could be from three point of views.
Cole, Jay, or Lloyd.
Jay originally wasn't in the picture, but then I remembered the laughing part as the ninja falls. It's a common tactic to cover up pain with laughter and jokes. I'm pretty sure Jay does it. So seeing him laugh as he falls to his death isn't a stretch, sadly.
Cole was my first one to choose. I thought it was him first because the faller was so determined in what they thought. Also, Cole, if you think about it, has had not so great of a life. He got turned into a goddamn ghost, we have never seen his mother - which makes me assume she's dead - and his father can be hard on him.
Lloyd was my second choice to whom this story applied to. There are multiple reasons that Lloyd could kill himself. His father is dead, he was possessed, he missed out on the majority of his childhood, he feels alone - he says it in the first episode of Season 5 - and I bet he feels overwhelmed with his responsibilities as the Green Ninja and the Golden Ninja.
But those are my thoughts.

I would assume its either Kai or Jay. More likely jay though cause of how you said he needs to "shut his mouth" and how he's annoying. Then again that's my opinion. Overall its a great story and your an AMAAAAZING writer. Peace Out...
