*amused tone* Goddammit, I like this. I'll be honest, did not think Caroline would actually become a superhero but oh geezies do I love that she did! I also love how she was friends with Slater and how you added to his background and also how supportive her stepfamily is. I just loved that.
Kind of wish there was more, but I also love how it ended so idk.
Thanks for writing and sharing this; it was awesome. (though I did wonder about the choice of using Henrik instead of Finn... thought there might be something there, but whatever after.)

I don’t know if this was supposed to be a one-shot, but I found it from your other amazing story, “The Winter Witch,” and I really hope you’ll continue it someday! I always felt like Caroline got a raw deal on the show...everyone bent over backwards for Elena, who frankly didn’t deserve it a lot of the time. And THANK YOU for calling what Damon did to Caroline what it is: rape. It makes me confused, upset, angry, and even bitter that so many Vampire Diaries fans refuse to admit that he raped her! He beat her and threw her around and vampire-roofied her into sex with him. She may have wanted him before she knew what he was, but once she did, she tried to get away and he stopped her from doing so and then raped her. Caroline. Did. Not. Consent. It’s just baffling to me that so many people either don’t see that or don’t care because he’s their favorite character. Well, I can tell you as someone who has been roofied and raped by someone that it doesn’t matter if she didn’t remember at first and it doesn’t matter that she thought he was attractive at first. When you wake up and realize what happened to you; when your memories slowly come back in fragments, it feels like you don’t even have your own body, like you don’t fit inside your own skin. And even if Caroline was never turned into a vampire and stayed a human and never remembered what was done to her, IT WAS STILL DONE TO HER! It still happened! And it makes me love her so much that her first thoughts were of how to make sure no one else ever experiences what she did. She’s just *good.* and I hope when her “friends” find out what happened to her, they don’t just gloss over it like they did on the show.
As for eveything else, I loved how you wrote Steven and Slater! I’m sad he’s dead, but it was nice to have more of a window into who he was. And wow, Caroline’s chemistry with Klaus was off the charts! It’s so much harder to portray chemistry that’s almost tangible in writing than it is to show it on the screen, so kudos for that! Very interested to see how her relationship with him changes him. And Katherine...is it bad that I always liked Katherine? Like, so much of what happened to her wasn’t her fault! I honestly liked her a lot more than I ever liked Elena. As for Elijah, he was always one of my favorites, but now I’m conflicted because you made me love Slater!

Nooooo. I want more. Please update soon. I love it. I was so out of the box and different that I love it. The steamy part of them together like that had me literally thinking of Batman and Catwoman. The flirting and all.

This was intense and I loved it! Caroline is a huge bad ass and I really enjoyed her transformation to helping people. And the scene with Klaus and their confrontation it was super sexy I hope this is updated more if this is not finished. This was beautiful and for sure I’m going to be putting this on my favorites and following it
