Very well written, my friend! I know that everything you wrote that would be Emily's thoughts were just what she was thinking when this entire scene was being played. She did the right thing by not letting Victor kill himself and reuniting him with Victoria. It does crush her, but she just cannot deny Victor and Victoria from being happy together after her own dreams of happiness were taken from her. Having Victor die to legally marry her just would not undo what happened to Emily, and it's good that she finally accepted that. If she hadn't, she might never have moved on and gained her freedom. :)

That was short, simple, and sweet. Exactly what was going through my mind when I watch that scene of the corpse bride. Loved it!
