"Et toi, espèce de brute?" not "Et tu, brute". It doesn't mean anything :)

Aw this is so sweet! Jake and Henry don't really talk much in a lot of fanfics, do they? Not to each other, at least.
I like the voice you wrote this in. It's very soft, even when going over the hard things (at least, that's the way I read it).
Question: In the scene where Henry says "How could you", is that after the Jabberwocky incident with Basil Sr.?
You're writing is very powerful, able to get out a lot in just a few words- great job!

I'm not the biggest fan of poetry so I can't really say I loved this, but I get why everyone likes it.

There's a sort of innocent simplicity to this story that just really gets you right in the feels. Like, Jake and Henry grow up to be so broken inside yet this story makes it seem so beautifully innocent and childlike. It's hard to describe, but it's really nice writing.
On the other hand, I don't quite understand how the et tu thing fits in. This is probably just me being stupid (as usual) but I always thought of saying et tu when someone betrays you and I don't really see a theme of betrayal here. Unless it's the second to last segment, where Henry gets pissed at Jake for Basil's death.
