Firstly I want to say I was a bit hesitant to read this when I saw you were using 2nd person; but glad to have given it a chance. This is the first time I have seen someone write is 2nd person view. Second person is hard to write in but I think it works here. By making the reader the main character it made it creepier(?) to imagine this happening. I find it refreshing to have a version where Erik is not so stable. Thankfully you didn't freak me out unlike a few version I have encountered. *shudders
Your story makes me think of his mental stability. I enjoy hearing different interpretations people have.
P.S. Do you have pity for us/main character? Do we have a chance to fly away? OR are we doomed till death or worst eternity to be trapped?...I very much would miss the natural world as well as everything else.
