This is SOOOOOOOOO good. I missed Grantaire in this chapter, but it was brilliant. I loved the interaction between Courfeyrac and Enjorlas and I think it was very believable when Courfeyrac admitted to the guilt he was feelling. I'm looking forward to more and I can't wait for Enjolras and Combferre finally talking again. It hurts to see them at odds. Please update when you can!

I absolutely adore this story. I hate the Les Mis fandom seems to get thinner and thinner these days but I'm so glad there are still some wonderful stories out there. Please keep this up.

I absolutely loved this chapter! You really had their roles reversed and it worked. Really, really good :) I loved your Grantaire and the way he was so patient with Enjolras. Amazing job!

I liked how caring Courfeyrac was earlier in the chapter, and how the rest of the Amis seem to be handling this.
Enjolras...that outburst had be shaking my head. I liked that no one left the apartment after that (that could have been because they were too stunned to), but my goodness, that was harsh.
Kind of concerned about what may be seen in the next chapter between Grantaire and Enjolras, and how Enjolras is going to behave during the encounter...

Ouch, well that did not go as well as I had hoped.
Actually, the students are taking this better than I feared they might. I was afraid they would get angry and turn their backs on Enjolras, even though I honestly did think they would stand by him through his. And they did, thank goodness. Despite everything that has happened, they are all still being supportive of Enjolras and trying to help him. They are being very good friends. They have a right to get upset, especially Combeferre, but they did not (at least not in a negative way). They are not angry at Enjolras, and they are trying to help him, and they love him.
Especially Courfeyrac is being supper supportive and kind. I love that detail, and I think it is very true to Courfeyrac’s character. Of all of the students, he is even in the brick the most understanding and compassionate, “The Center” of the friends, who holds them all together. Courfeyrac is definitely fulfilling that role in your story, as well. Good job keeping him in character!
Enjolras, however…. Oh, dear, he is not taking this nearly as well as I had hoped. His friends are here to help and support him, and this is how he thanks them for it!? He is just going to make everything worse for himself and for everyone else.
I feel bad for him, but at the same time, I wish he would just swallow his pride, man up, and accept help. But again, I think it is in character for Enjolras to reject help like this. He is—or at least WAS before all of this happened—a very proud, strong, and independent man, just like he is in Hugo’s book. Top be honest, while I hoped it would not have gone this badly, I expected him to resist his friends’ attempt to help him. I just hope he will face his fears and do what needs to be done.
I am anxious to see where this goes from here. I am sure Grantaire will not abandon Enjolras, even though he has a right to be angry with him right now. I am sure loyal Grantaire will not abandon his friend. I look forward to this next confrontation, and hopefully it will go better than the last.
