With the technology that Dipper has access to, it wouldn't be difficult to make a diamond ring, he only needs charcoal and high pressure, I'm sure he could create something to help him easily, or maybe if he's lucky he'll find some supernatural creature that keeps diamonds or make them naturally in your body.
