Wow. This was amazing. I loved all the dichotomies between what they plan and what actually happens, and the repetition of "This is what" makes the whole thing feel almost like a tribute itself. And the ending makes me happy.

There are moments Teleus regrets accepting the thief as his king. Somehow, the moment when he sang a children's rhyme and jumped rope with a little girl in front of the whole court-somehow that isn't one of them
