Aww. Nice for Hedwig to know she's still Harry's favorite animal pal.

It'll take a while to read this. Nothing wrong with that! I like having a tale to peek at on my phone for those times I want to read something fun.

Well done. A bit of needless information drop in the last paragraph, I feel, but otherwise just right. Personally, I feel if the reader doesn't know about Sirius Black and his friends in Hogwarts, that reader ought to be reading the book, not fanfiction.

Well! It's nice to read a chapter, covering part of a book, where the author actually had something interesting to say about incidents I already knew. So many fanfiction writers bore one to death by not adding any interest to a story we already know well.
You didn't add anything earth-shaking, but nowhere did I find myself thinking, "Yes, yes! Get on with it!"

While I seldomly read a story that is focused on just one year that is as decent to read like this one, I definitely enjoyed it.

A very fun story to read. There were tropes but you put your spin on them so they don’t go exactly as expected or you stopped it before it got ridiculous. Like Harry gets a multi section truck, but it’s only 3 sections and none of them are a 3 bedroom flat with time compression.
I’m also glad that you started posting stories again, as I’m very much looking forward to reading the other two.

I am slightly confused with this chapter, almost every problem in this fic was caused by not questioning figures of authority, no one checked facts for themselves and called out bullshit when it happened in front of them. Eg. Lupin’s effort of finding Harry consisted of asking Dumbledore a few times, and doing nothing by himself. No one questioned why there was no trail for Sirius, even though if he supposedly was a spy, he should have to have been questioned several times to find out what information he had and who else he had betrayed in his position as a spy. James and Lily have said several times not to trust Dumbledore, yet they still listened to pretty much all his suggestions when he made them while they were alive. Every adult has failed Harry because they ether were malicious or they didn’t think for themselves. However Harry is punished for thinking for himself and not just simply accepting an authority figure’s demands while the adults are seemingly not learning from their mistakes that caused Harry to suffer in the first place.

Unless you change their backstories completely then lupin is still a coward and snape is still a terrorist, murderer and rapist... it's kinda shitty seeing people praise them and apologize to them for them being disgusting pieces of garbage.

Where did you get the names for male and female phoenix in Japanese? Phonetically, oo and ou are the same in Japanese.

Talk about hypocritical. Ron asked Harry about his letter and Hermione reprimanded him. Harry came back from a required meeting with the headmaster and she immediately /demanded to know what happened. Someone needs to start telling her "None of your business" every time she wants to know what is happening that she really doesn't need to know about. Reading again for sheer enjoyment.

I hope shape brought enough calming draught for everyone. Because it sounded like everyone wanted to kill Dumbledore.

You know, Remus shouldn't have sent that strongly worded letter to Sirius about the prank he helped the twins play, considering what he had Neville do.

Would people go to Vernon's funeral to pay their respects, or just make sure he's dead and dance on his grave? As to a casket, why bother just roll his corpse into the grave. Or since he'll be spending the afterlife surrounded by fire and brimstone just cremate him.

Nothing beats a good old fashioned peep walk, to start the neighborhood gossip.

in the Potter's will, they stated that Dumbledoor was the one to cast the fidelius with Peter as secret keeper. Peter also stated the same under verita serum. why haven't you brought that up on the trial to show that DD knew Sirius was not the secret keeper?
