I loved this! To weave together two conflicting strands of fiction (and make it work) was a joy! And that line 'you cost us the soul of the one known as Crane also. And his would have been a feast for the ages' was a delight and had me chuckling. Are you sure you're not CS Lewis reincarnated?

Really enjoyed your story. Day of Evil is one of my favorite episodes. Basehart and Hedison were both wonderful in it. Love your interpretation of the alien.

An interesting take on the "alien" who caused so much trouble on Day of Evil, a favorite episode of mine. Basehart was fantastic, and his diabolical laughter at the end as he goes off to meet his unhappy "superiors" is really freaky, especially with the WHN you presented. Fun. Thanks.
