I am so happy to have stumbled upon this little gem of a story. You literally took me back to high school so clearly through Davis's experience that I got really nostalgic. I loved seeing him and Kari in this setting and I am really enjoying your take on Davis's attempt to move on and behave appropriately in the wake of the Takari relationship. He's definitely at battle with himself here, having tried to get over before she even was officially off the market with girls (I secretly love how he's embarrassed about the girl he lost his virginity to blabbing it to everyone - it's just struck me as adorable) or how he also was still sort of chasing after her, purposefully going into higher level classes just so they could be together (he would so do that). And here, this internal struggle not to let himself pine after Kari for the sake of his relationship with TK - your insights into how all the digidestined have grown eachother was just so wonderfully worded. You have a very nice way with words and it still somehow came across as Davis's thoughts which is sometimes hard to do.
I was grinning at many of Davis's antics as well - the locker beat down play off (so Davis) and the prank on his teacher. The best part of all though is his mention about how Kari has acted like nothing has changed between them and how he doesn't know how to take that. I feel like she is impressed with him and might be noticing how much he has grown. I'm curious to see how this might play out, especially without the risk of any friendships - or maybe they will get risked, yikes!
Last chapter I also particularly loved a line about Veemon being sympathetic and how Davis can't understand how anyone can think of digimon as 0's and 1's. Very poignant thought. And the involvement of the digimon has been well integrated with the story so far as well. Always refreshing.
Glad I got stalker-ish on you after your reviews on my story and found this under your profile. I hope you keep writing. I really enjoy seeing other's takes on these two. ;)

Wow, this is really coming out great. Your writing style is concise enough to follow was is happening fairly easily. I thought perhaps Davis would've turned to the angsty route since it's the easiest one to take when it comes to these types of stories, but I profoundly admire how you're guiding us into his psyche first. He sure has come a long way by acting so responsible. I'm wondering if Kari is having second thoughts by picking TK over him.

This chapter was amazing! This story is amazing! I love the struggle Davis is going through. I think you are doing a great job. I read the review from Lady Aio-Chan and I say forget about it. This is your story and right now you are doing a better job than other fanfics where they bash Davis, TK, or Kari. She mentioned that she doesn't like Daikari, so she didn't need to read this anyway, knowing it's a Daikari. I personally love the relationship and can't wait to see what happens next, so update soon.

I don't like Daikari. There might have been a point at which I was okay with it but not anymore. Fanfiction ruined it for me. When I read your description , I thought it would be a Daikari with a Davis and Tk friendship, a rare but interesting plot. I chanced it and realized that I was wrong but I absolutely LOVED your first chapter or prologue or whatever. Then I read your profile. "All I know is I will never accept Sorato, and I find Takari boring. It is what it is." I understand thinking Takari is boring, I think anything with Kari is boring(sorry if I offend anyone). I still ship Takari anyway. I'm not butthurt because you don't like Takari, I'm butthurt because you pretty much threw the outcome of the story in my face. It isn't even that I looked at your profile of my own free will, you basically said "Hey go check out my profile for my cover picture" I was like "OK". And then I basically ruined the story by myself with a bit of help from you. I can think up a number of outcomes and I don't think it's possible to surprise me anymore. Well, it was nice while it lasted. Keep writing anyway. It's pretty good. Sorry for making this so long.

So suspenseful! I love Davis's tension. I can't wait to see what will happened next!
Overall, very good prologue. You left it off making me want to read more! So update soon!
