for Organic toasters

Well this is/was a cool story. Hope you come back to it someday. Thanks for the read.

Really interesting concept, disappointed to see it abandoned.

I have maby an idea. The humans/Zylons can bild bigger Basestars with more fighters and they can send these big carias in the Cidadel room or they can be juse as an base behinde the front.

I get that the humans and cylons merged as one, but why that unified race would still use freaking basestars? You would think that after years of Intel gathering Cylons would think hey those colonial humans only have two battlestars and they still managed to kick our cybernetic asses.

So since the story is pretty much dead, the ending where the humans achieve a quick victory would have been more preferable to nothing.

If this is your version of strong humans I'd hate to see the weak versions.
Its your story true enough, but very few people want to see humans nerfed when it makes no sense.

You have the humans against the council and several different races.

A lot of fics are nerfed so much it takes the happiness out of reading it away.

I love it so far

...PLEASE work on your grammar as a couple of times I had to stop reading and actually scratch my head and try to puzzle out that you're trying to say

some grammatical errors but an interesting start

They need the geth and the quarians on their side.

Really hoping they blow the citadel out of the sky.
Asari...mind reading, strippers who steal tech.

Gardian doesn't seem particularly impressive when compare to Colonial's ones.
The Citadel doesn't really have much in the way of carrier. The closest thing they have is Space Stations.
I highly doubt their point defense systme are used to the number of fighters and missiles that BSG generally use.
They tend to be big and bigger gun.

Circumventing Cyber security...
Any AI worthy of the title can comepletely wreck any VI the council can field.
And unlike in movies where human can somehow trump AI, it doesn't happen if we consider the problem seriously. And smart the Salarian STG may be, they are still very much organics. Smart doesn't really compensate much for the extreme speed an AI can deal with.

Uh...An AI civillization doesn't actually need much in the way of money...As long as there are resources, there are products. they would also careless about inflation because they know exactly what is happening and how to improve the situation.
So your points about them big ships being costly isn't completely legit. The only limit is Production Rates/Industrial Might and population (which isn't quite that big a problem considering the cyber living space and uploading stuff).
Additionally, the projectiles from BSG 2003 has a lot more momentum than Citadel races because of much bigger mass, and kinetic barriers is more or less anti-small-but-fast projectiles (or high KE but low momentum). Why momentum being important? Momentum is a great thing to have when you want to penetrate something/overwhelm something/transmitting the force of impact into the squishier parts. And here, they would do quite a bit of damage to the kinetic barriers...And consdering how most Citadel ship armors being relatively fragile, it should be no problem after the barriers are down.

Hi!

First: I like how you build up your story that Humanity/Cylonity does not tear the Council a new one on the side, but you go way to far into the other direction, maybe because your grasp on ME vastly surpasses that of knowledge of BSG and some real-life physics concerning weaponry and armor.
While ME is advanced in several fields, you simply fail to understand where they are worse. BSG2003 Jump drives are vastly superior to ME FTL (exception relays). Canonically Cylon ships can make 200 lightyears per jump without any strain. Hell, the Galactica fleet, held back by some rag tag ships with totally outdated FTLs, canonically travelled 10,000 lightyears within not even half a year in universe during late S3. So I do not know where you get that laughable weak descriptions of the Jump drive from.
Likewise Armour: In BSG canon, Colonial ships are made of various tungsten alloys (warships logically with stronger variants), the Cylon ships out of their organic resin mixed with tungsten. That is really, really durable stuff, if you dont believe me, ask a chemist.

Older basestars and the Colony have gun and cannon batteries and it is clear that after the war new basestar models would be again outfitted with guns. As for capital ship guns in BSG in general: They are according to the design team Gauss weapons. Besides, another commenter already posted how strong BSG capital guns are even if you make them chemically or plasma powered.

Your council races VIs are totally overpowered! EDI in ME exists because the VIs are total crap against true AI. So Turian VIs holding out against AI cyberattacks is just WTF!
There are more points, but I think I made my standpoint clear. Generally good story, but too much Human bashing.
