The Straw Hats arriving at Whiskey Peak is very different when they are significantly stronger than normal pirates, and Luffy seems even more ruthless here, now having a kill count of 5 by adding 3 more bodies after just entering the Grand Line, and then adding 3 new crew members to balance it out. He even seems much more aggressive in his approach to recruiting people he either finds interesting or has a skill/personality trait that he likes. He literally just entered the most dangerous sea in the world and immediately gunned for getting an actual princess, and then 2 members of a criminal syndicate to join his crew. That is an aggressive recruitment strategy of enemy forces that I can respect! The guy used his own life experiences to read through "Miss All Sunday's" mask of calm so clearly that he convinced her to join him, even promising her something that he doesn't see as a big deal but is really a huge deal, just because he liked that she was an odd person he could understand and has a very useful power.
Crocodile is definitely going to notice the loss of both the Unluckies, the Mr. 5 pair, and his own partner in crime, all in one day. He'll probably view Luffy as either the most violent, ruthless and ambitious pirate to come out of the East Blue, or an incomprehensible lunatic with the devil's luck. Either way, the Straw Hat Pirates will quickly become a headache for everything he's trying to do in Alabasta, and if his current losses are any indication, then he doesn't even have the disposable manpower to stop these nutcases.
Miss Valentine is joining the crew, and I'm actually happy to see this happen, since it seemed like a shame that she was little more than a one-note villain with little to no development in the Alabasta Arc, and I wish there was more to her than what I saw. I was hoping that Gin from the Don Krieg Pirates would have joined in the East Blue, but the reasons that didn't happen were stated in the 4th chapter, so I cannot and will not complain about that.
I also find it funny that in the whole series so far, the only person who has hit Luffy and actually hurt him...is Nami. The 18-year-old former pirate thief is the only character throughout the whole East Blue Arc that was able to hit him hard enough for him to feel pain, and then made him look like the biggest baddass around by beating Don Krieg, "The Strongest Man in the East Blue," in single combat. Luffy even gets instantly angry whenever someone mentions the Celestial Dragons, which makes sense when you know what happened to Sabo, and who knows what else happened to Luffy and Ace in their past. And with how insanely strong Luffy is, if he ever meets a Celestial Dragon, I'm pretty sure he'll hit them so hard it'll kill them.

This series is AMAZING! Please keep up the great writing (and please please don't stop half-way)! Would hate to have such a great story left unfinished

So funny with the Raptor. A bit disappointing that we lost one of the original non-devil fruit powerhouse characters, but at the same time excited for what's to come

Was re-reading this and it just hit me that Chopper can make specialised Rumble Balls for Sanji, we can have a Multi-Form Raptor!
Had to post this on a chapter I hadn't reviewed because of FF's one review per chapter policy.

Goddamnnn, this one is really insteristing. I can't wait to see this Luffy clash against Akainu. Mans sure would burn the shit out whatever poor land or city while they fighting.

This is nuts! Really interisting, making Luffy have power similliar to Akainu, or I could say more so Escanor. But nevertheless, I was so pumped reading this chapter. No wonder a lot of people favs and follows this fic.

would be really awesome if luffy got a more proffesional weapon than a pipe
like a Kanabo
not the one piece kanabo like kaidos
the historical one thats basically a more robust baseball bat with with studs
Heck a spear or a short pole sword would be awesome for luffy
it could even have a hollow butt for luffy to put sun orb in to turn it into a rocket when he throws it
maybe a sun on the blade of the spear too
the blade could have a hollow part inside it for luffy to stab people with and explode their insides
like a wasp injection knife
then he could use it like maki from fire force to control it like yondu and even stand on it like a surfing badass
what kind of sun cant fly where he pleases
also
i kinda hope he discovers TK like gravity control as Sun man
