I'm glad we got all the silent treatment over with in just one chapter. I'm intrigued to see what Helen is working on. I'm glad that Sirius thought of her by her last name as I had forgotten that bit. You've also made me wonder if Severus in this thread really was the one to take the prophesy to Voldie. I can't remember if that's been established earlier or not.

I think you probably would've guessed I'd feel this way, but I'll put it in writing for posterity. Yes I very much want the bike ride scene. Much feels, so apologies, very want.
You know what I loved most about this chapter? The abundance of alpamness. I mean I liked other stuff too but that was my favourite.
Bella's annoyance at her academic system feels awfully familiar. I wonder why.
I'm hoping you'll eventually explain why there are so many rules in this thread and the time pocket thing. Or I'll just have to poke you until you do.
Bella crashed on her desk when she should've been studying. That seems awfully familiar too :p
I'm working on the rice pudding recipe for the companion cookbook

This is an interesting chapter :) while it didn't have action scenes he still developed well Sirius and Bella as characters... Bella still hasn't overcome her nightmares and guilt while Sirius hasn't really accepted the new status quo yet; he knows she is there for a reason and he cares about her but, after James death, I think he feels the need to be in control of everything to protect what he has left of his family...
I see Sirius as an extremely insicure person for all his good look and charm; his relationship with his family was horrible and i think that was one of the reasons why he was a playboy and never had a serious relationship during his school years... i don't think Bella realised how much she hurt him, even for his own good...
... but see them make up was sooo great!
In all, you really weaved a great plot! X)))

I don't think the bike scene is exactly necessary. The gift was shown, understood to be the olive branch it was, and Sirius clearly reciprocates without needing to say as much. It ends on a high note while remaining subtle yet still emotionally profound. Which is something I would expect from Bella and Sirius as two people who've gotten to know each other decently well and getting in sync with each other, relationship troubles aside.
