It is very rare to see an naruto/ onepiece fanfiction that lasts for more than 20 chapters even more rare when naruto is actually naruto from the EN instead of an OC with naruto's name slapped on it. Unfortunately this fanfiction has two very glaring issues that is making it hard to really enjoy this story. The fist one is the fact that the story line follows canon very closely to the point that the addition of naruto dose not change anything in the plot like seriously every single arc starts and ends the exact same way as canon and naruto's impact on those arcs are often at best minimal and at worst nonexistent. I get that naruto is OP and if he truly actively participated in the early arcs he would curb stomp all the enemies leaving the crew with no character development but the problem is the author went to the other extreme and made naruto's contribution to the story non-existent. This also results in most of the time nurfing naruto so that the plot doesn't change from canon with defeats the purpose of writing a crossover fanfiction in the first place.
The second and in my opinion the most annoying problem is the romance aspect of the story, naruto's relationship with robin and Nami is weird it doesn't feel real like it has no impact on how they act outside of their little moments and even then its more smut than anything. like in the rescue robin arc naruto's actions and the way he talked to robin seemed more like a friend than a lover. its weird when reading their interactions (naruto Nami and robin) it doesn't feel like they are in a relationship there is no drama no affection it feels more like they are just friends with benefits. Even when they decided they were going to share naruto there was no hesitation no drama it didn't feel realistic or natural if anything it felt forced like it didn't fit the plot but the author decided to add the pairing anyways since the readers requested it so no effort was put into it.
