I really liked that bit of humour at the end. I've read quite a few fics that describe this scene, but your Tonks is perhaps the most forceful I've seen yet. Her behaviour made me think of a large animal attacking a smaller one, and while I don't think Remus was innocent and all that, her behaviour doesn't impress me either. She is one of those characters whom I cannot understand. I also think that mention of sexual content isn't all that necessary. All authors do that.I read fics where Lupin is referred to as Remus, and I have to admit I like those much better, since they give a feeling of closeness.

This was wonderful. I loved the characterizations and the interactions.
I also would have liked to see that scene with John. Probably would have ended up being f**king hysterical. I'm still cackling over his "It's that Potter boy. Release the hounds."

I'll be honest, the email telling me that you had written made me scream a little and revealed to my flatmates that I read fan fiction.
Seriously, gal, this is so good! It is just such a Lupin thing to think that a proposal is the best way to go about it. Your Lyall is just so lovely, even if John is the standard to which I hold all men (no, really. I'm in love with John).
"Sit down. I'll get the whiskey out." -Yes! Exactly what Tonks would say and certainly the best thing to do.
Throughout this you could really feel Tonks' pain and Lupin's sadness. The small explosions of emotion were so perfect. I particularly liked the sense of restraint around both of them, it reminded me that they've both been burnt before.
Also thanks for remembering that Lupin lived in Yorkshire. It pleases me far too much.
Hope life is fab and that you get something other than pasta to eat (I empathise so much on that)!

I saw an email saying you'd written and I genuinely screamed a little bit from excitement. Words cannot express how much I have missed your writing, it is genuinely so beautiful.
And as usual, you didn't disappoint. This was stunning - I loved Lyall (although John will always hold a special place in my heart - if you ever want to write that scene with John instead of Lyall I will be more than happy to read it (at risk of sounding an enormous stalker)), I loved the way he's his own character, I just can't express how immediately fond of him I was.
And as always, Tonks and Lupin made me cry a little. The turning up with a box of stuff seems a little more concrete line was just the icing on the cake for me - I sat there with a stupid grin on my face - it's so /them/.
Your writing is, as always, truly gorgeous, and again, I was so excited to get that email, and even more excited when I started reading. I also wanted to add that I know the feeling of having nothing to eat but pasta - although since it is all I eat at uni I end up getting withdrawal if I go more than 3 days without something starchy!
I hope that everything is great and I hope you just know that this was gorgeous as always.
