First off I just gotta say, so my Joshaya heart will be satisfied: the fact that Maya was humming the Bond girl theme song and Josh said she reminded him of Pussy Galore made me smile (and her stealing the beanie, of course)
Poor Alan. Never had a family member have a heart attack, but have been through something similar and it isn't easy:( Kinda saw it coming towards the middle, reminded me of Richard in that one Gilmore Girls episode. Hopefully the Matthews family will be able to get through this and Alan will be alright. (Side note: I liked the comparison of his body to a home rather than temple and your explanation for that. Never heard something like that before!)
Cory and Topanga's respective thoughts concerning Riley graduating and moving onto high school were nice in a bittersweet kinda way. They're sad to watch her grow up but for Cory, it was nice to see them acknowledging how she isn't their same little girl anymore. And its nice to see Cory be more accepting of the whole thing with Lucas ( at least internally because Smackle didn't make that too easy with the whole meaning of a mating dance and intercourse XD)
Nice to see Josh fit in with the group so well, despite the age difference. I love all the nicknames! And Smackle's reaction to him (and her inner monologue about it, especially) I can't blame her. I have the same reaction to Josh just seeing him from my TV :))
The discussion of Farkle between Maya and Riley made me sad only because its hard to see Maya so angry with Farkle but the girls were right in the end, everything he did he did because he loves those girls and wants to protect their happiness in any way he can, he even if they don't want to help themselves. It may not be the most comfortable situation for them to have to deal with, but I'm glad Riley figured out that Maya was lying to her. I don't know if I could take going into the second installment with Riley not knowing that. But Maya had to have known that the truth had to come out sooner or later, if she learned anything from Riley keeping her own secret.
Very eventful and excellent (as per usual) last chapter! I can't wait to see how you continue their stories(:

There is just so many things in this chapter I don't know where to begin.
The Rilaya sneaking off to Farkle was genius, when there wasn't a lot of places they could hide the time capsule. The fact that Maya stole Josh's beanie made me smile more than necessary.
I loved Josh's interactions with the guys, it was seamless, I hope he has more of a role in the sequel.
As for Alan, I feel so bad for him, I haven't experienced a family member having an attack as such (I consider myself lucky) but it still hurt my heart all the same.
Riley finding out that Maya still had feelings for Lucas doesn't shake me because you have yet to even hint that Lucas has feelings for the blonde. Maya just takes a little with her feelings that's all.
There's so much that I have look forward to in Cracks. I'm in it for the long read, no matter how long it takes ;)

Great chapter as always! I feel bad for Maya because she is so conflicted but ai think its easier with Josh because she actually likes him and knows that. I don't think she likes Lucas romantically at all, I think she cares for him the way she cares for Farkle and that Riley and Lucas reltionship bothers her more because of his place in Riley's life. It's always been Maya and Riley and like she said, she doesn't know what Rucas moving forward will mean for her and her place in Riley's life. But her moment with Josh made me happy(: I loved Zay thinking the gift was for him! And that gift! My goodness, just when you think Lucas can't get more sweet... Hwta I enjoyed the most at that moment was that he knew it wasn't the time for him to be romantic with her when she cried, he knew she just needed him to be a friend and thats what makes their relationship so lovely.
