So many thoughts on this excellent chapter. The whole situation is just so frustrating. It is a testament to Lucas' character that he is willing to stick around this mess and see it through. Many teenage boys would just leave and go find another girl to like.

You realize, of course, that now that you've written a superior version of the show, you're practically honor bound to never stop writing, right? Like, I'm not even kidding-your story is my canon for the show from Texas onward. Even if by some miracle the writers manage to write themselves out of the mess they've created with this Riley/Lucas/Maya nonsense as you've begun doing so beautifully, I'm convinced no one could do it better than you're doing now. Thank you for sharing your talent-and perception-with us. You've done this proud Riley/Rucas shipper heart good.
