You write him a little over the top but I'm finding many of McCoy's spoken and unspoken reactions humorous. The scene where he characterizes Spock as a "fuckin drama queen" is hilarious.

Thanks for posting this. I liked your nods to TOS material, particularly the Deneva section, and also getting to see McCoy's relationship with his mother and daughter. This is a great story that I will return to read on occasion.

This chapter really makes me hope that one of the sequels is from Jim's point of view (and if so that I'll get to read it soon). He can be a tricky character, but I love how you've written/portrayed him. Can't wait to see more of your work
