for Grinning Goblins

Yes, the second read was much more satisfying.
Thank you again, and again...

I recently found this site called Storio (storioai dot com). It transforms static stories into dynamic experiences—great for Wattpad/FF authors. Check it out if you ever feel stuck writing.

When you ask good questions, you make the Goblins VERY happy! And Hermione was asking some VERY good uestions!

I'm really not liking this portrayal of McGonagall. She's more concerned with what the Ministry wants than what's best for the Muggle-born she's supposed to be showing around the Alley as well as getting their supplies. She's too damn pushy. I also suspect she simply rubber-stamps all of Fumblemort's decisions. Good or bad. I doubt this McGonagall argued with Good Ole Fumblemort about placing Harry with the Dursleys.

I still think Good Ole Fumblemort should've followed the Potter's WILLs. But then the old goat molester never could keep his beak out of other people's business. If Harry sticks around the British magical world after his third year, then either he's under Good Ole Fumblemort's control or he's a fool. Because by then he's almost been killed three years in a row in the supposedly safest school in Europe. Give up his citizenship and go to America or Australia or some other English-speaking country and become a citizen there. If Good Ole Fumblemort kidnaps him back to Britain that'll be an International Incident. And depending on which country he kidnapped Harry from just how big it'll be.

Hi,

Perhaps Dumbledore should have read the tale Who Moved My Cheese?

An exceptional tale. Thank you for sharing it.

Not sure "reputed" works, up there, about Knockturn Alley. Kinda weird. Had to read, over and over, then look it up, and read it again. Not sure. Renounced? Refuted? Spurned? Disavowed sounds like, too "governmental".

Cute fic. It was kinda " based on" the HP Verse, but not a Harry potter fic, in the end. I would have been interested to see where it was headed before the Muse got redirected.
I enjoy anything where someone knowledgeable in muggle ways, pulls out a gun and shoots idiot purebloods (or Dumbledore, especially)

Delightful cracky romp. Thanks

I still think this "untameable" hair thing, is BS. Boris whatshisface, former PM, didnt have bad hair. He was a fucking slob, and needed a comb! I have never known, or OF, a single person that couldn't comb their hair!

Confusion. Hasn't Sirius been out of jail for like, a year? I thought he he was out before they even thought up the new town and school? Why would he still be small, thin, sick, in bed, etc? Maybe I'm confusing two other fics I've finished yesterday. Idk.

The castle is ONE THOUSAND years old. 997 a.d. or something. And the HP verse is begins his schooling like, 30 years ago.
The castle has not been standing THOUSANDS, ie: multiple thousands, of years.

SPELLS, new OR old, are not the measure of magic. Magic is INTENT. Silent casting, snap casting, landless magic, and accidental magic are ALL intent based. After five years of classes, and OWL tests, magic is all about getting AWAY from incantations, wand movements, or, for some, even using a wand. Don't you think that the same exact INTENT will get you a bouquet of flowers whether you "think" in Latin, Italian, French, Cantonese, or Egyptian (? language, idk)
The words do not matter. The wand waving does not matter. INTENT is ALL that matters. Muggle exists having more spells than the old, stodgy, purebloods, is ridiculous in have ADVANCEMENT. They have INNOVATION. FORWARD THINKING. ADAPTATION to several newer centuries' growth in social , economic, industrial, and political CHANGE.
"More spells" doesn't mean crap.

I guess I never cared enough to look. I knew the Hufflepuff common room was down some steps and past the entrance to the kitchens. I did not take this area to be part of the Dungeons. I pretty much assumed Hufflepuff and Slytherin's entrances were on opposite sides of the Great Hall. Most likely, Hufflepuff was somewhere behind the Grand Stair. Slytherins would enter the great hall without having to come to the entrance hall. The pictures in my mind, for something nearing 2000 fanfics, were always this floor plan.
I just looked... not terribly hard, but could not find ANY evidence supporting where Hufflepuff entrance is. I always swore by the Lexicon as CANON, and any other map by anyone was just BS. Idk if no one cares about the Puffs enough to map their dorm, or what!

And everybody in fic World screams " Third Floor!". The one eyed witch statue is on the third floor. I as an American, do not know if that means the third floor above ground, or the third floor AFTER the ground floor. Only JKR knows. Euros use the number of floors ABOVE ground floor. So, the American third floor would be the fourth in the UK. BUT JKR calls it the THIRD in Canon, and that is all that matters. ((whispers) its probably the fourth floor.))

I hate being that sniping guy... but Hermione found out about HER magic just over TEN MONTHS before Harry got his letter. September 19 , of the previous year, is Hermione's eleventh Birthday. She will be twelve in seven weeks. She got her letter, made this trip, bought her books, and read them ALL four times through, and has been back to the Alley several times, before July 31.
