This was a great story. I especially liked that Sirius was able to catch the rat, and I hope he spends a long time, as we say in my part of the world, "under the jail." That Harry did not have to personally battle Tommy was excellent!

This 'small rant' is brilliant. I feel the same way about canon/fandom knowledge and I appreciate your acknowledgement of this problem. It drives me up the wall when writers get canon knowledge wrong which I myself can recite off the top of my head. And thanks for the clarification on James' parents, I'd been meaning to find that out for ages.

It's a fine ending. I guess it couple be more dramatic, but I don't know how, really.
I liked the relationship w/ Harry and Sirius and some of the other characters too.
I totally admire your dedication to finish stories. There are a lot of 1/2 done stories out there, so good on you for seeing it thru.
I know sometimes the ending parts can feel like you are slogging thru it, but you did it. and did it well!

Hmmm…I think the “put Hermione in her place” bit went overboard during the religion conversation in this chapter. She wasn’t telling Harry what to believe; she was explaining what she believed. If they’re friends, she should be allowed to say what she thinks, just as Harry should.

I have to say that as much as I'm liking this, I positively despise this rendition of Hermione. I just can't imagine anyone tolerating her when she's this domineering and obtuse.
That being said, so far the rest of this is pretty impressive.
