I guess I already reviewed on Chapter 30, and I tend to review on the last Chapter for stories that have been complete for more than a year, so I am reviewing here: like you I am getting on in years, and when I read your frustration at not being able to sit through rereading through earlier work to reacquaint yourself with what has happened previously, I realized that I may have a partial solution. In my case it is my eyes that are a problem, but if you use Microsoft Edge as a browser, you can use the read-aloud feature to literally have the computer read the chapters aloud. It is far from perfect; It wants to start at the very beginning of the web page but you can learn how to fast forward past it.
It also works better at Ao3, since there you can pick up reading wherever you want to (you can't on FFN) and you can choose a number of different voices.
I hope that this is helpful for you. Also I enjoy stories where the grown-ups act like adults and don't leave everything to child-soldiers. So, Thank you for that, too!

If Snape was Voldie's spy, he should be nice to the it is, it is clear that Bumble's hired him or more than teaching, and Voldie would have instantly killed him. Being a spy is the only reason Snape is allowed to abuse children, breed junior death eaters, and ruin the school

Hermione is often a pain in the ass. Emma was a very attractive girl whose movie role removed most of Hermie's worse tendencies, while taking many other character's best lines. People get the two confused, unless they back and read the books.
In book 3, Harry sneaks off to Hogsmeade. In the Three Broomsticks, Fudge, Rosemerta, and Hagris sit and talk and Harry eaves drop. Fudge tells them that Voldie is still out there, being less than human-yet, who remembers.
In book 1, once Hagris leads the firsties to the top of the hill, they get their first look at Hoggy, yet everyone messes that up.
I remember disliking Bumble's when he kidnaps Harry, denies Sirius custody before Sirius goes after Peter, and then drops Harry onto the Dursleys doorstep 24 hrs later, in November, with A blanket, and dumps off.
Then, before that there is a nonsensical scene where Mini spends all day and night at the Dursley's, not even knowing for sure that James and Lily are actually dead, and Bumble's seemed surprised to see her. Unless she spends every spare moment watching the Dursley's, she wouldn't be there unless Bumble's "asked" her to. Scene makes no sense, but I did not like Bumble's from then on
