Darn, I was kinda hoping for a valentine's special (I know the story takes place during the summer). Figured they might say the infamous L-word to each other. That hasn't happened yet (as far as I remember)

Slightly jealous Pacifica is adorable. The claustrophobic PTSD is not. I was starting to feel a little bit of that myself after how excellently horrifying your underground maze chapter was written. Dipper thinks of it as "upside down" but wasn't it sideways though?
Soos's unintentional insight about why corporations have fully embraced planned obsolescence was kind of funny, in that dark humor way.
You know, my first thought when the coolant line broke was "oh, well at least Wendy can just swim/float to the top of that hallway now". And then the door shut...
Dipper's phone was upgraded to be super waterproof, right?
Yeah, not every mystery is solved in a single episode Dipper. Some take 2 or 3, maybe even a whole season!
That was a really nice touch of "we're experienced, but this is dangerous anyway" with Wendy and Dipper.
Poor Mabel and Dipper growing up a little too soon, with what they plan on doing with their lives, or at the least a very major part of it, having already been found before their parents/society is willing to trust them to make life altering decisions like skipping high school. At least Pacifica can be there and Wendy and Soos and Co. can visit often-ish.

I’m home sick today, so getting a notification of a new chapter was a very nice surprise.
Very exciting chapter! Guess summer is almost over, though…

Gosh, I’ve been reading this story for the past year, and while I love it in its entirety both as a continuation and as an expansion of the series, this last chapter in particular really blew me away. I have a bit of a weakness for character introspection haha, but Stan’s was so well deserved and so well explored. It’s refreshing to be reminded as an audience that, as fun as it is to laugh at his grumpiness and grumbling, this guy’s got A LOT going through his head, and that adapting to a changing situation isn’t something exclusive to youth. I just couldn’t help smiling throughout the whole chapter, because each point was handled so gracefully, just, chef’s kiss, brilliant job

I've finished reading through this story for the first time, so I apologize if there is a better place to post an overall story review rather than specifically for the latest chapter, but I just had to share what an incredibly enjoyable and brilliant tale it's been up to this point. I only just watched Gravity Falls for the first time this year and was eager to look for any way to continue enjoying the amazing characters and setting, and I am very, VERY glad to have found your fic as it is everything I could want in seeing more parts of the story I wanted to see expanded upon.
I am especially invested in the relationship of Dipper and Pacifica. This was a pairing I very much wanted to see play out somehow after finishing the show, I think they bring out good qualities in one another, and one which I think you set up, progress, and handle with great care from start to finish. It feels completely natural the way they start to develop feelings for each other in line with their personalities, the show, and the events that occur over their story. I love the level of detail to how their feelings develop over each chapter with the shifting perspectives, and I like how it has its high and low points like any relationship that they work through together. The moments where they are at their closest and most emotional are so heartwarming and worthwhile, and it captures the feelings of both characters so eloquently.
Really, ALL of the characters in this feel on point, lining up appropriately with all of their personality quirks and characteristics from the show while also continuing to build off of them in directions that feel natural to what they previously showed, it's a great balance of everyone feeling like the original personas while also developing in other ways that set it apart but still fit them entirely. Stan and Ford's discussion of their past, the twins struggling with how to handle their parents regarding the weirdness, Pacifica's growth and maturing as she becomes closer to the Pines, Mabel coming to grips with her actions over last Summer, Wendy figuring out what to do with her future, and so much more. It's extremely impressive to get this all down so well, and what's equally impressive is how descriptive your writing is. Whenever I'm reading a chapter, the in-depth descriptions and perspectives you provide paints a vivid picture of the characters' thoughts, the setting they're exploring, and the events occurring in a way that makes it easy and exciting to see it play out.
I'm also loving all the original story beats added into expand on their adventures so far, everything feels like something you'd find in the show and still add an original twist on it. I'm liking the introduction of the Conclave, Brendan as a love interest for Mabel, the troubles in the Northwest household, Gideon's morally suspect business, the hawks and the hearts are an engaging mystery element and I'm looking forward to whatever surprises you may have down the line for this plot line as well as any of the others I can't cram into this review. It's all been quite entertaining and I cannot wait for whatever comes next as we near the end of summer here.
Thank you again for all this amazing writing you've delivered the last few years I've been so fortunate to be able to read for the first time, I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter and whatever you come up with next!

THIS IS THE BEST! I’ll second what’s already been said about this story but it feels like such a NATURAL extension of the show! I was so excited to see that it’s still updating! I know life takes priority over writing for fun, but know that you have a TRUE gift. We’ll all be here waiting for the next chapter of the Pines Family Adventures when you’re able (no rush, do what you gotta do!). Looking forward to it!

Dude, fucking awesome. I can literally taste the bittersweet melancholy in my mouth right now. You, Sir, as I've so often said before, are a master of making me feel emotions just by putting black letters on a white background.
Much love and appreciation
