The parallels to the seasons are amazing. It's so beautifully written, my heart doesn't know whether to be sad or hopeful when I got to the end. I don't even ship Draco/Rigel (Harry), but the ship's got some brilliant writers. Thanks for writing!

What an elegant use of contrast! I feel like that about Draco and Rigel too sometimes. They exist so closely and yet they belong to two completely separate worlds. Reality can be a real buzz kill, especially when it's of your own making. I think the saddest thing is the feeling they both seem to have that in another time, in another place, perhaps in different circumstances, things would be different. Poor Rigel. It will be a while before her feelings can bloom into a true spring. Right now they're pretty dampened by everything else. I also really liked the idea of her connection to Draco being like melting snow-I think it captures something from the SOTL series and also something Rigel feels acutely. Her time at Hogwarts is the best life she's ever known, and yet it is also so fleeting and fragile. It does seem as though it's as inevitable as the snow melting that they will drift apart one day.
Anyway, I loved this! Thanks so much for writing it, and I hope you make a few more!
