I was thinking about this series again after finishing it last month (!) and I brainstormed 'Orchestration' (The Original Orchestration'?) as a potential title word! Although TV tropes says book 5 will be M (not OoP) but either way, just wanted to send good vibes about how much I've enjoyed the series!

I don't know the source of the reddit thread. No updates have been posted other than the someone dming the author for an update, and the author guessing when she would have it written. Her self imposed deadline is in a week, but I doubt it will be posted that soon, as she was still finishing outlining the book, and had not yet started really writing yet. Additionally, the author started a project on webtoons called forever after. She is writing the story board, dialogue, and plot. Someone else is drawing. It sounds quite promising so far. The webtoon obviously takes precedence over fanfiction. So basically while I have no evidence to suggest that the work will be posted next year, I also cannot fully rule it out. Check out the discord for other fanworks to tide you over (or the tag inspired by Rigel black chronicles on ao3.) Sorry for more ambiguous information.

I look back to this series and only find the best kind of nostalgia - everything has been a mix of anticipation, joy and adventure. I can't stress how wonderful it is to reread - I keep finding amazing little gems in the story. Thank you Author!
