Hello Violet,
I just spend way to many hours in too few days reading the four books and it's been so much fun! Thank you for writing this! I thought I read all the good fanfics here but obviously there's still much more out there.
Your pacing was really great (even if some chapters were true monsters), whenever I was close to getting sick of something (Harry and her surpressed magic for example) you twisted it around.
The end of the tournament was a total surprise for me! I expected something with a portkey and a ritual since you've followed so many of the themes in the original books before, but the reveal was unexpected! And awesome! Harrys inner struggle started to become repetitive and I really wanted Leo or Hermione to know the ruse.
I don't know if someone has mentioned it yet (most likely yes, since we Harry Potter fans are quite freaky sometimes) but in one of the last chapters when you mention the changes in the quidditch pitch Oliver Wood looks at it, which is strange since in canon he wasn't at school anymore in Harrys fourth yearAnyway, I'm really looking forward to the next book! So much suspense!

I'm curious about the name scheme for the next book in the series. I was under the impression that the first letter of the alliteration was derived from the most prevalent word (specifically, the word which particularises the other) in the corresponding book in the original Harry Potter series:
"P"hilosopher's Stone - "P"ureblood "P"retense
Chamber of "S"ecrets - "S"erpentine "S"ubterfuge
Prisoner of "A"zkaban - "A"mbiguous "A"rtifice
Goblet of "F"ire - "F"utile "F"acade

But then the next book seems to be breaking the sequence:
Order of the Phoenix - Manic Masquerade

The letter M isn't even in the title of the corresponding Harry Potter book and I was expecting the pattern to continue as P for Phoenix, H for Halfblood, and then D for Deathly.

Did this pattern even exist in the first place or am I doing what humans do and drawing patterns from nothing?

'He knew the ruse had changed them—had felt it within himself, a callous at the center of his soul—but he hadn't realized how much it had affected Harry, on a level so deep that only now, when the first few layers of illusion had violently ruptured, was a hint of it beginning to shine through. '
I think this is very interesting. So far Harry had to be seem as more or less unchanged, and she tried to go unnoticed (yes, she failed, but she did her best) . Now she is no longer bound, and can be herself. I want to see her discovering who she IS. Harry-and-Rigel.

I love this story so much I can't describe it with words. The character development is beautiful. The plot is enthralling. The relationships are indescribably realistic and complex. I love Leo's support of Harry in everything. (I ship in but I don't think Harry would be in any relationships for at least a few years if ever.) I really want to see them finally have a conversation about some of the things Harry went through because right now Leo is the only one who knows that all that stuff that happened to Rigel happened to Harry (besides Archie), being kidnapped and held captive for 2 weeks only one of the many traumatizing things that happened. I want Harry to get help and support for that and all the other things that no one else can ever know or even suspect happened to her.

Well my goodness. Our poor harry sure has gone through the wringer. Fortunately she now knows that she can rely on the lower alleys and the court of rogue to support her and keep secrets. We are all hopeful that Harry's grounding will soon be over, and wondering how long the auror tail will last.
With any good luck Harry will live out her next year peacefully and will not get in over her head again. And now that I have wished good luck upon our harry I am confident kyprioth will roll the loaded dice and it will require every spy in my network and every skill in our repertoire to face. Thanks for the story telling, may the die be fixed in our favor.
Leo,
Friend of Harry
King of the rogue

Hello. Sorry for taking so long to review when I had read the last chapter when it first came out.
I absolutely love this story. To be honest, if you'd have gone with some original characters in a universe that you'd made up, I'd pay to read the story.
I love Rigel's portrayal and the way HE tries to take everything up on himself. I was always worrying about how the SECRET would come out, the consequences, everything.
Also I love the subtle change in Rigel's portrayal when HE goes into Harriet mode. She seems to be far more protective and proactive. There was a shift in tone in the last chapter where it felt like the things that Harriet had planned for a long time would be coming one after the other.
The best part the absolute irony is that "the half blood won the tournament" - aka, it's just ironic that the "chosen" of Riddle himself who he did everything for to put Rigel in favour to win was the one who completely screwed up his plans.
I cannot wait for the next book. Honestly many thanks to you for bringing me in this adventure with Rigel and Harriet. I've loved this story from the first book's first chapter. I hope that the next story comes up soon and please take care of yourself during the pandemic.
Thanks again. ;)

Ah, so Snape did keep the medi-mini. At least he didn't use them for anything nefarious. Then again, I don't think he cares about Rigel's scheming, he only cares about his brain.

Would have loved to see Regulus reveal to Tom that Rigel got rid of his damn tracker, even if he admittedly passed the buck to someone Tom wants to find just as much, if not more.

I didn't realize there were several books before reaching the first book half point, and I didn't realize there were more than one million words, much less nearly 1,5 million before book three. I started reading this fic thinking it was an ordinary Potter fanfiction in an AU setting, it ended being one of the most marvelous works I got the opportunity to read. Thank you!

There are two points however that I still can't swallow, and I'll share them with you.

The first is the damn Potentialis potion. Harry created a potion that can unlock the hidden or lost abilities of one's bloodline, and she doesn't try it herself. Sure, maybe there's nothing more to unlock. She already has very potent and large reserves of magic – even if it can't be considered an ability in itself – from her mother and can talk parseltongue from her father's blood. People normally do not have more than one ability, so maybe taking the potion will change nothing, but then again she has the Potter luck, and even more important the Harry/Rigel's luck. I would be shocked if the potion didn't unlock any ability. I get that she doens't want to be more special or attract even more attention, but for all she knows, it could have helped them in their ruse. Look how Archie's ability was useful, or even how Draco's one would have served – even if it needed a long time to master.

So please, I don't care the circumstances, I don't even care if she does unlock an ability or not, but not knowing is killing me. Make her brew a potion for herself and let her drink it. I'll feel a lot better afterwards.

The second point that annoys me is that she doesn't make nearly as much profit as she should have. She gave her earnings from slaying the Basilisk to the Weasley, she didn't patent of Shape Inbruing technique, she sells to low prices... I do understand she wants to help the most people possible possible with her potions, but it shouldn't prevent her from making profit, damn! So it would make me feel better if you made her try to get the most possible from her creations.

Anyway, thank you for writing and sharing this fanfiction with us. I admit I was lucky, chancing on this work just after the fourth book was completed.

I look forward book five. Again, thank you!
