I feel bad for reading and reviewing so far after you updated. I used this for motivation to study for a major certification exam in my field and wouldn’t let myself read it until I passed. I am so glad I did!

Let me start off by saying... OH MY GOSH! I cannot believe how in love I am with this story. I usually do not stray from reading the M rated stories but yours kept showing up on a lot of recommended stories lists so I figured I would give it a whirl; and boy am I glad I did! This has to be one of the most thought out, drawn out stories I have ever read and it's amazing! I usually love any and all Thorin/OC ships, but this one takes the cake! It is so realistic and I like that it does not fall into the norm of "skinny girls that are unbelievably hot". Jenna is the perfect resemblance of me and that makes me love the story even more! It is almost like for the first time ever, I can actually imagine myself in the shoes of the OC in the story. Please please please do not give up writing this story! It gives me life and I cannot wait for you to publish more!

i used to be a very avid follower of this story, But I fell off quite a bit i think around chapter 20. As you mentioned on your tumblr, I just haven't been in a Hobbit mood.
But I recently felt the draw to the Hobbit fandom again and I am happy to see this story is still going! It's absolutely in my top 3 Thorin stories and I am excited for more!

I had a thought midway through this last chapter...nearly made me breakdown crying
What if the quest yavanna gave her has nothing to do with fili, kili & thorin surviving and it’s really about destroying the one ring early or something and she ends up not being able to save them
I live your story so far but I don’t think my heart could take it if they died anyway lol

I know I shouldn’t enjoy Jenna’s self-deprecating comments but... “happy little pinecone”, “Delicate Potato”, being made of Doritos and chicken tenders & “Basically-Harmless Potato to Maybe-Could-Be-Potentially-Dangerous Potato” made me laugh.
Thank you for giving us lots of Dwalin and Nori! From Dwalin’s preemptive finger wagging and wanting to dunk Nori in a lake and leave him there to their discussion about the PROPER way to employ a sneak atrack, to Nori getting out of chores (again) and being, (un)fortunately, right.
I’ve forgotten how long they’ve been gone but walking everyday from sunup to almost sundown and then training most evenings, 3 meals a day with no snacking between, I imagine, and also no opportunities to stress eat... I would think by now she would notice some difference in her body. Depression aside... right? If anything, I would think her clothes would be a bit more baggy than she’s use to? Also, I’m glad she’s starting to think differently about her body (nod to Dwalin). Thinking like this “...how I would hold myself like I was afraid of taking up room in the world,” is sad beans.
Favorites: Thorin being just a dude; seating choices breaking the company; discussions of how many limbs one could lose and still fight off an orc (and Bilbo’s reaction); cottage cheese punches and Kilipuppy in Dwarf form. But my ALL TIME favorite? Thorin booting Jenna off a cliff after the Goblin Tunnels! . even though that aftermath has the potential to be nightmarish...
