Seriously, in my opinion you wrote everyone's personality especially Azula's perfectly. I love the fact that you had Katara returned to the south pole since it normalizes the plot to what we see in canon except that Zuko now has more than one reason to hunt down the avatar and his group. I think Azula mentioned at some point that Zuko actually hates Ozai but we don't know if that was a lie and we don't know if Iroh will be joining him so this sounds really interesting. Thank you so much for updating!

This is an amazing story. The Azula Katara relationship and the Zuko Katara relationship were fascinating. It makes sense that Katara was being manipulated but had little idea of the broader picture. She is very similar to Zuko in that sense. Guided by their emotions not by logic. I’m nervous for Zuko and Katara’s reunion. He stood up for her and got banished, his entire life ruined. There is no way she can make it up to him. Maybe by actually marrying him, lol.

Wow. Zuko just got banished! Still, I love the connection between the two girls, even though I'm pretty certain Azula is still conniving like mad. I can't wait to see what they do once the Avatar is finally found, and if Azula manages to bring Katara fully onto her side in those three years.
Also, I'm 100% certain Azula read, then burned the letter to Zuko. Great touch though.

WHOA WAIT... ZUKO DIDNT SPEAK UP ABOUT THE SACRIFICING OF THE SOLDIERS. THAT REALLY SURPRISED ME. I partially think that *possibly* the only reason Azula was relieved/happy when Katara told her that Zuko agreed because she knew he'd get into trouble. But then again, you tend to surprise me with this story. And then that part happened and I almost died. I feel bad for Zuko because he was just trying to do what a good guy would, and I feel bad for Katara because she was worried for her family. Man, you really love angst, don't you? Because whoa. STINKERS I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT MAYBE AZULA CAREE BASED ON HER ACTIONS AND WORDS BUT THEN. STINKERS. Then she's back to being nice (MAYBE OR MAYBE NOT NOW I REALLY DONT KNOW AT ALL) (THOUGH I STILL THOUGHT IT WAS NICE OF HER TO KEEP KATARA FROM ZUKO BECAUSE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A MESS) (BUT ALSO GETTING THEM TOGETHER WOULD EXPOSE HER LIE SO I REALLY DONT EVEN KNOW RIGHT NOW) (DUDE YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT THIS KEEPING THE MYSTERY UP THING). Okay so, I'm really curious to see if Azula will really get lightning bending or not. She's so known for it on the show, so I'm wondering if she's gonna realize that Katara is the reason she can't get it done all the way or not. I thank you, though, because you're actually letting Azula have a heart. I really liked that she told Katara the truth (maybe?) about the ashes and what followed in that scene. Really surprised me!
I don't know if you're doing this intentionally or not, but you've got my in a position where I don't know when Azula is lying, telling the truth, caring because she has feelings for the other person, or caring because of her own desires. I want to say that I love their friendship and that it seems like Azula is a nice (about as nice as Azula can be) person, but I never known if Azula is being honest or not. Either way, great job, truly! Love this story so very much!
