Hmmm... so the tiny cogboys can interface with existing Imperial tech. And Kongou remembers much *better* tech existing during her previous summoning. Does that mean that Kongou's Kogboys (kek) have the blueprints for some of those mechanisms (ie autoloaders?)

More seriously, this was another fun snippet, Spire's reaction to the fairy-mechanicus dudes is great, and I can almost hear the tiny 'DESS' the little guy gives off.

Wasn't expecting to see another chapter, but good lord this stuff is golden. The anime logic is just too much. Poor Spire wasn't prepared for that. I imagine that writing up the proper paperwork following any battle Kongou's involved in will be quite the hassle.
Also, fairy-techpriest is glorious. I don't even know what to say to that little thing.
Awesome chapter. You've got quite a bit of skill at blending these two fandoms together. The humor is spot on, and is perfectly mixed in with the very reasonable reactions given by a man in a highly unreasonable situation.

Dear gods there's more, I thought it was a one shot!
I am confused about 1 thing though, are they talking about a historic battle. Or one she was just in, because if we missed watching kongou show the heretics her burnjng love macro Cannons, I. Going to be a little sad.

oh my bloody frikkin gods that is emperor dammed beautiful. kongou serving admiral spire would be, aaaahhhh. that's it, i totally have to name my first battleship in battlefleet gothic armada kongou, just because of this beautiful story. oh goodness, i don't tip my hat to you sir, i throw an entire hat shop at you!

Wow. Wow. Just... wow.
You know, after being introduced to Kantai Collection, all I could think of was how interesting it would be to see a well crafted 40k/KC crossover. Sadly, they seem to be in very short supply.
Then I saw this.
Hats off to you good sir/ma'am. This story is win. Everything, from the depressive passage of time, to the grim resolution of the characters, to the evolution of technology and war and how it related to the ship girls was on point. And that ending... honestly that couldn't have been more perfect. Good old Kongou come to bring victory over the heretics. Something tells me Abaddon's about to have his sorry, murderous, armless, rear kicked to the curb.
Excellent writing. Don't know who it was written for, but they certainly got a special present in this one.
