Great outtake. Your story sounds really interesting and it is unfortunate that I did not come across fanfiction sooner and read your story, but as you say you have gotten it published, I am surely going to check it. I love historical romance and am yet to find more than a very few of good ones. You are a wonderful writer. Thanks for this one shot.

Ok. So. Concubine.
I read this when you fanficed. And this one was soooo hard to read. I don't know why, but it stuck in my head and made me freaking nauseous. I wanted to review it on amazon but it wouldn't let me as it hasn't been released there yet. All I want to tell people is, don't start it if you don't have the balls to see it through. Mine are shriveled up and hiding in anticipation of the next book. And I seriously don't even want to read it. It's awful.
But necessary.
Because that's how Shay is.
She's brutal.
And I tell myself it's necessary for the HEA.
But is it?
Did you really have to make it that hard. I mean. My god. Ugh.
You rock Shay. I hate you and love you.

So first off...why did Edward pick a wife the way he did? second...you wrote him sooo "angry" but the whole time he was "angry" he was having this inner monologue that wasn't angry at all...and it didn't come off right...then he thinks about being back in a box when his parents were killed...like he has some kind of ptsd...then hes all get away before you feel my wrath...some people that have felt my wrath have not lived...and its sooooooo not believable since one, he just LOST a fight, second...he really doesn't come off all that mad because of his pussy inner monologue

That was fun delving back into this story again. This Edward so much like a teenaged boy who has fallen in love for the first time. Then his feelings for Isabella only deepen over time as he grows into a man and learns about his people and his responsibility to provide for and take care of them with the insight and guidance of Isabella helping him all the way.
