I'm super late to this story, but I loved it! I like the early push and pull, where at times it's like she wants to withdraw from too many reminders of the self she can't remember but at other times she practically clings to the reminders and stories.

I also think you struck a really interesting balance between old and new—like, Emily wondering who she was and is must have felt so unique to her new circumstances, when really it's such a familiar tension for her. And I love to see her drawing on trust in the team without realizing how huge an accomplishment it was for her to build that trust in the first place.

Really great job with this! Glad I finally found it :)

Loving the first sentence. I am a big sucker for good starters, things that drag me right in. And you've got this! I know something is about to go down, and I need to know what it is. And Hotch failing her? That thought alone makes it even more interesting. How can he fail her? What has he done?

Characterisation is there, too! That line about Reid right at the beginning, for example. Luvd' it.

Oh. Wow. Your descriptive skills make me a bit envious I admit. The team heading in made me feel like I am right there with them. Very to the point, too- not too many words. Everything lovely and condensed.

Then the dialogue. I can hear Reid's voice. Nicely done!

The hospital scenes are lovely as well- how you draw each character their own little space with it. Penelope was particularily endearing. Warm skin. Alive. 3

Btw, I love Rossi- and you nailed him with how you quickly summarised him. Vintage cigars, nice cars and snark and wit.

That scene with the towel was heartbreaking and damn brutal...

BUT you wrap it all up so nice. This is a very well done and self contained piece. You did great on the challenge!

I normally hate amnesia stories - really, any stories that are built on tropes - but now and then, someone manages to make it work and make it seem natural to the character. I appreciate how tempered the tone was and how human their reactions all were, and even though ambiguous endings drive me up the wall, it's the only appropriate ending for this, really. Nicely done.

I am glad she made it too. She is lucky to have her team, her family.

Loved the beginning of this story! It will be interesting to watch Emily walk through the learning process of her memory loss.

That was really well done. You made me feel a million different things all at once and you got them all spot on! Amazingly written, I loved it!

And I also need to thank you for writing this because I love your writing and I'm always excited to have more of it :D

I love the way you've got the team banding together here, in their worry over Prentiss and bringing her memories back. I love how Emily is still Emily despite the damage caused to her. And I love love love the ending and how Prentiss still gets one up on Reid and makes him take her to the bar. GAH. I love this. Thank you :3 3
