Ha, so I was about to comment on the eye thing (since I haven't read the comics) but now there's no need. Off to an interesting start, though. Interesting that you haven't assumed that Cat has a beach house like so many others do. Of course, if she did, then that would negate the whole point of the story, I guess. Oh well, looking forward to chapter 2.
