I'm thinking 1 because it'll be the easiest to write but maybe not have the relationship established but instead have more romantic/sexual tension which could then develop into a relationship. But in the end, it's all up to your writing preferences and style. We chose to follow this fic and will be happy with any result that makes you happy.
