I have no words. Honestly. I could say it is wonderful, excellent, perfection, etc., but that still isn't enough to describe how amazing this fic is. Can you please take over for MJ and crew since they have royally messed up Riley and Lucas? I think they could use something like this to get them back on track. Thank you for sharing this! Now I'm going to go read it for the third time (that kiss!).

Oh my gosh! This was the perfect thing to wake up to this morning! I've never perceived the short pulling thing between Maya and every guy she's ever met as a romantic thing, even with Lucas, but I could understand how Riley would. I love that you gave her the courage to stand up for herself (though Lucas would never need to even up Riley) and take control of the situation. Very rarely do we get to see that side of her on the show. I also love the way you described the moment between Riley and Lucas and the flirtation between them as she pulled him up to her face. The description of their kids was beautiful and I'm so glad Lucas made it clear that he had no intention of evening up with Maya because the thought alone would destroy Riley and it would be unnecessary since we all know he's already made his choice and it's her. It's always been her! Swoon! Seriously, I had no idea how much I needed this until I read it.

The perfect take on Riley attempting what she sees a Maya's superior flirting/boy skills. I particularly liked the comparison between their two kisses; the rain and stormy imagery does a great job as illustrating the power of Rucas' quiet intimacy without having to make it about "fire" and whatnot.
I'm really not a fan of the equal girlfriends/relationships thing, as it seems wildly out of character to me, especially considering Legacy, but getting this out of it makes things a little better. Wonderful job!

That was so good! I haven't been watching season three because I think the whole triangle thing is annoying and I don't like the evening up stuff they've thrown in there. But this oneshot was awesome! The chemistry between Lucas and Riley was on point. I wish the show would do things like this!
