Don't know if you knew this, but: Contessa could block/take away the thing in the body (brain?) responsible for the powers appearance. However, the powers themselves are bound to the body, so what she ultimately took away would be the outside influence on Taylor, nothing else.
Had to read a ton of interviews to get this right xD

Hands down the greatest post GM Taylor story I've ever read. Absolutely loved it from start to finish, and the agent skitter story is perfect. Gives Taylor a goal, gets her engaged with new people and places, and can give the opportunity to show how the world views her as she tackles new and varied situations.

The issue with this story conceptually is that Taylor has already been through everything, her character development is finished and I don't think there's anywhere to go from here except down, but authors generally don't write downward spirals. That means only plot and power fantasies exist
