I loved their scene together, they finally shared what was in their minds that fateful day.
When Padme confirmed she had not betrayed him, that she didn't know Obi-Wan was in her ship, my heart broke with Anakin's reaction. This, I think, was a major step for him.

So so glad that you find the time to write this despite your busy life. And Vadmé finally had the long-awaited talk that would smooth things out between them. It's amusing to see a feisty Padmé and Vader can not do much about it. I hope Vader can finally have the family he longed for, because others are as much to blame for his fall as he is. But it seems too good to be true that Piett and other loyal soldiers would still be around by then and even babysit Luke and Leia. I pray you would not abandon this fic. Better late update than nothing at all.

How nice to see an update to this fantastic story! I really am glad to see the progress Anakin and Padme have made, I can't help but hope Padme can help Anakin find himself, by working with him to end the empire and Sidious. It would be great for Anakin to see their kids, too. You sound like you have an an exciting life, thanks for taking the time to update!

I was so happy when I got the alert for this in my inbox that I practically screamed!
Excellent chapter! I loved the whole thing, especially Anakin and Padme talking it out, and Anakin/Vader confronting Obi-Wan. And poor Piett, just wanting the floor to swallow him up, until Vader confirms that Nightblade is his wife, and Piett is to follow her commands like they were Vader's. Now I'm picturing Piett discreetly trying to remind Anakin that it's time to eat, maybe even ordering up the meals himself to make sure Vader gets the most appetizing things from the kitchens.
I especially liked when Anakin explained to Padme why he didn't force her and the kids to come with him that night. And when Padme settled, for good and all, that she had no idea that Obi-Wan had stowed away on her ship when she went to Mustafar.
I think the hardest part was the younglings. Always, the younglings, because that was so horrific. Vader has down a lot of horrific things, but killing those kids who trusted him...hard to get over, to say the least.
"She couldn't help but wonder if maybe Yoda wasn't right after all and Vader could be redeemed. She couldn't stop the tiny thrill that raced through her at such an idea, acknowledging that...now, she didn't even want to try." Yes, listen to Yoda, you must!
I look forward to the next update! And I'm with this story for the long haul, though I do hope that the next chapter is posted a bit more quickly. :)

I check almost every day to see if there’s a new chapter and I randomly find myself at random moments every now and then thinking about this story and wondering if there’s an update :) please find some time to continue this when you can!
