"It looked more like a muggle black metal album than just about anything in the magical world" made me laugh. I've always wished there was Harry Potter black metal...oh well, be the change you want to see and all that :-P

Ooooooh I wonder if Dumbledore showed up because he wanted to prevent Grindelwald's escape or his kidnapping?
Interesting developements. I like your depiction of Malfoy. I would be interested to know Harry and Neville's roommates. I mean the key to learning a foreign language would be to interact with natuve speakers and studying in a language is a whole different thing then being able to make smalltalk or talk in general. I fear the transfer students would have sooner or later serious troubles keeping up academically.
As for tbe rating - I haven't got enough experience with the rating systems. (I very rarely watch M-rated movies, but that is just because of the invariable bloodshed on screen or violence in general. I usually find cutting scenes out to leave it up to imagination would have improved the quality of most films. But that is a whole different genre. In texts you always have the option to scan over passages you realise you'd ratjer not now in derail about.
M is on the safe side, I guess, definitely no less than T. If you are worried, some authors put content warnings in the beginning. Different people are triggered by different topics. Some might have trouble with battle descriptions, others may be with psychological aspects of character interactions. With the topic of eugenics (werewolf population control) and the government
purposefully separating families, you are probably better of with M.
I'd also be interested in reading more about how Seamus an Amanda are faring. And Hagrid a Grawp. I admit had to laugh when Snape mentioned them being not exactly small targets, I know, not strictly p.c., but so Snape. Or anyone really using sarcasm.
I wonder what happened to Romilda Vane and Cormac McLaggen...

Very interesting developments during the last chapters. I just wanted to mention . that confused me. At the beginning of the year you paired Gryffindor with Ravenclaw in Defence. In this chapter you pair them with Slytherin again?
;-)
Apart from that, nice cliffhangers.

Hi there,
First of all I really love your story. In fact I find it so thrilling, it kept me up for days because I couldn't put it down. I should probably go to sleep looking at the time. I just wanted to mention Harry would probably not be necessarily browsing through a DSM in Britain as that is the American manual. In Europe the ICD-manual is the recommended reference work. They do differ in certain classifications. ICD-10 was endorsed in May 1990 by the 43rd World Health Assembly. I'm unfortunately not sure when exactly in 1995 the ICD-10 was mandated in the UK - couldn't find information on the NHS homepage. In Germany it was in December 1995, if that helps. Google is strange that way. Still the manual must have been available for professionals beforehand. Else I think the Grangers would have the ICD-9 around, because they would need it for reference at work.
Sorry, that is a sensitive topic for me with all the stigma still around even 25 years later. I could very well relate to Harry in this chapter. I have the image of Luna in mind that she probably understandably is affected by losing her mother so early. An just having completely different areas of interest than her classmates. That is not necessarily pathological.
Let's face it, children are vicious in that way. If s.o. does not conform to the majority they mercilessly exclude and bully them. It's just a good way to hide their own insecurities. At the extreme end of these group dynamics outsiders are killed.
Anyway thank you for this enriching universe. Looking forward to find out more about the Weird Sisters convening.

Okkkkk so I've been ADORING THIS THING so far. But did you just make death number two MamaGonagall? As much as I try to read fics where Sirius gets to live, I'd trade his death for hers... either way, I read on in hopes my assessment is untrue.

Cute, but now this severe reaction is part of this story (and sure to be reported to DE parents by various students) Harry and McGonagall will need an effective a defense for attacks using catnip or they will be easily disabled by any opponent who knows of their vulnerability. Also, catnip grenades could become popular prank items within Hogwarts for use against them and Mrs Norris.
They need a constant bubblehead charm (maybe an enchanted necklace) or an immunity potion they can take once a month.

I’ve ravenously devoured the Accidental Animagus and now what is available of the sequel, and it is one of my all time favourites. I know the pressure and time suck that writing can be when you are time poor, so I understand the waitjust know that I am eager for more and look forward to when you get to it.
