The dreaded ash vs Ritchie battle(The anime version of this sucked, ash got robbed). I think ash would have won more easily in this. Ritchie is slightly weaker than ash in the anime and this ash is much stronger than anime ash. I can't help but feel ash got nerfed and Ritchie got buffed(I see what u did with the Charmander). Ash in the anime lost because his team was extremely tired from the rocket fight and the damn refs making BS calls. The thing that really makes me believe that it shouldn't have been this hard is that dragonair went down way too fast. Dragonair should won because the final attack it had had way too much speed and enough weight to make it so charmelon wouldn't be able to deflect it and the electricity would have also put a stop to that because charmeleon would be it by thunder when it trys to it dragonair.

Hi, it’s been a while since you guys talked about this book. I’ve been reading your other stories and they have been great. I do hope that you guys come back or say an announcement about a possible time you may come back to this book. Either way, I’ve been going through some past Pokémon games and was watching Pokepark 1&2. Similar to your crusaders of the dark story, maybe during or after the shadow arc of the next book, you can go into a section where the children learn more about their regions and their responsibilities. They go around and help Pokémon and see what the main issues that they face. I think that can help flush out some of the children (if you want to) and may be a way to introduce any other children. I think it would be kind of cool to have children have different jobs in a region (like a breeder or a police officer) and Ash can learn about what they do and why it’s important (to both people and mon). Not only that, it can help bond everyone over time and allow them be more ready if the parents need to leave for a vacation. This is all an idea so you can completely disregard anything I’ve said lol.

I just finished reading the entirety of the Child of Mew, and it actually moved me. I love Pokemon so I decided to read fanfictions about it (teen phase type of stuff) anyway I first started reading this series from a guy who copied and pasted this story onto Wattpad, then when I learned he wasn't the real author I found the real Child of Mew story. Then I read and read, and finally, after 3 months, I completed it today. Thank you for such a great adventure you have given me, I felt as if I was actually in the story myself. Oop, sorry I guess I rambled a bit too long, anyway I want to join the discord, so I could find fans like me. Thank you! (Also which version of gen 9 did you get? I'm getting Scarlet)

Hey there! Just wanted to post a review after finally taking some time to read the final arc of this 'first book' in the story. I remember reading the first two and thinking this is one of the best Pokémon fics out there! So far I'm just in chapter 2, as I had to do some catchup in remembering who some OCs were and when Ash caught certain Pokémon or they evolved. Still, I'm really liking what's in store, but I can't help but think this whole Mewtwo tournament island is heavily inspired in the Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Kingdom arc, with that of collecting badges and betting them in battles all over an island, plus the first rival being an arrogant bug (type in this case) user. I basically imagined Cobalt as some sort of Weevil Underwood lookalike with purple hair. Is that where the inspiration come from? Anyways, just wanted to say I really love this fic, keep up the good work!
