This is a really great idea and I hope to see it continued. Other stories hypothesise as to how Lily protected Harry from the curse, but few go into detail and I don't think I've ever read a story highly devoted to it. Keeping things canon-compliant enhances the story further, althoguh I note you have made one error there already: if Sirius reconciled with Kreacher to search the Black library then it doesn't make sense for them to be so hostile in Order of the Phoenix. Unless something changes later on in this story, for example if Kreacher's memory is modified... hmm...
Anyway, thanks for sharing and I hope there is more to come.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this will progress as you go further along.
You just might want to consider something to denote the break between the scenes of different characters. This would make it a bit easier to follow, instead of the mind having to parse out what had happened, interrupting the flow of reading.

I have never seen a story about Harrys birth and how Lilly came up with the protection! I am glad that she is proactive. This is a good start,I hope that you continue this story.
